Students with a language certificate of HSK 4 or higher and CSCA entrance exam results are eligible to apply for the grant.
Students who do not have HSK or CSCA results can attend a preparatory school. During the first academic year, students study Chinese to level HSK5. The Chinese language exam confirms a high level of Chinese language proficiency and readiness to study in Chinese.

University campus
The university has two campuses (north and south) covering a total area of 270 hectares, with building space exceeding 1,300,000 square meters. The south campus is considered new and is surrounded by major high-tech companies, including Samsung and Micron Technology. Its location is officially known as Xi'an's "Electron Valley." The north campus is located in the city center, approximately 13 kilometers from the south campus.
XDU boasts a well-developed infrastructure and a strong academic foundation. Its two university libraries contain 6.14 million volumes, including approximately 2.34 million print and 3.8 million electronic materials, as well as over 1,300 foreign-language journals and access to resources on 45 platforms with approximately 120 databases covering all areas of study.
